Draft last updated 14 July 2026

Draft, pending legal review. This is a working draft prepared for internal review only. It is not a binding legal document and must be checked and approved by a qualified legal adviser before it is published or relied on. Anything marked Legal review needs a human decision.

These terms govern your use of Brightpeak Connect and any course you buy through it. Brightpeak Connect is operated by Coniston Peak (WP) Limited, trading as Brightpeak Group (company number 13563029), 4 Babington Lane, Derby, DE1 1SU. By creating an account or enrolling on a course, you agree to these terms. The Brightpeak Group website does not currently publish terms and conditions, so this draft has been prepared from scratch for the platform.

1. About these terms

These terms are between you and Coniston Peak (WP) Limited. Please read them before you create an account or enrol. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You need an account to enrol on a course. Please give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 18 to buy a course Legal review. Confirm the approach for any learners under 18.

3. Our courses

We offer CPD-certified courses and City & Guilds regulated qualifications. For a regulated qualification, you study the theory with us, then book and sit the assessment separately with the awarding body. The awarding body sets, marks and issues that qualification. Brightpeak Connect does not award it.

4. Enrolment and access

When you enrol, you get access to the online course materials for that course. Legal review Confirm the access period, for example lifetime access to the materials or a fixed licence term.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Legal review Confirm whether prices include VAT. Payment is taken securely through our payment provider. Any exam or assessment fee charged by an awarding body is separate and is not included in our price Legal review.

6. Your right to cancel

Our courses are digital content, and under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days to change your mind about a purchase made online.

That right ends early only if you choose to start the course inside those 14 days. When you enrol you are asked to tick that you want immediate access and that you understand you lose the 14-day cancellation right once you open the material. If you do not open it, the full 14 days still apply.

Opening the course is what counts, not paying for it. Buying on Monday and not logging in until the following month means the 14 days ran from Monday and have passed — but the section below still applies.

7. Refunds

Before you open the course. Ask us within 14 days of buying and you get a full refund, no reason needed.

After you open the course. The cancellation right above has ended, so there is no automatic refund. We will still refund you if something is wrong at our end — the course does not work, it is not what the page described, or you were sold something you were never eligible to take.

Practical training days. Cancel or move your date at least Legal review [confirm notice period] before it and there is no charge. Cancel later than that, or not turn up, and the place is chargeable, because the tutor and the venue are booked and paid for either way. If we cancel or move a date, you can take the next one or have that part refunded in full.

Awarding body fees.Where a qualification involves an exam or registration fee charged by City & Guilds or another awarding body, we cannot refund that once you have been registered with them.

How to ask. Email hello@brightpeakconnect.com and tell us your name and which course. We will reply within Legal review [confirm]working days, and any refund goes back to the card you paid with, normally within 5–10 working days of us agreeing it.

8. Certificates

For a CPD course, we issue a certificate of completion when you finish. For a regulated qualification, the certificate is issued by the awarding body once you pass, and usually arrives within 24 hours to a few weeks.

9. Acceptable use

Your account is for you. Please do not share your login, and do not copy, resell or redistribute course content.

10. Intellectual property

The platform and its course content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning.

11. Our responsibility to you

Legal review Set out the liability position and any limits, reviewed by a legal adviser, so it is fair and compliant with consumer law.

12. If something goes wrong

Please contact us and we will do our best to put it right.
